Lenore Leutwin Rees was born to John Brown and Josephine Klein Rees, on June 27, 1904, in Center Point, Kerr County, Texas. She was the middle child of five and her siblings were Warren Alonzo, Paul Klein, Dorothy Louise, and Wesley Waltrip Rees. Lenore outlived all but Wesley and Lenore passed away, April 7, 2000, in Center Point, Texas. She was named after her maternal grandmother, Leutwin Lang Klein.
