Born just after the famous Mussel Slough Tragedy on the Estes Ranch near Grangeville in what is now Tulare County, the family was forced to relocate to the Dunlap area where she met Charley Hedrick, a teamster, who she married in a double wedding ceremony with her brother Alonzo. Mary died shortly after giving birth to two boys probably before 1905. Her final resting place is unknown at this time.
