Thomas Johnston of Fairfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, of sound mind, memory, and understanding;
To my beloved wife Esther Johnston all my estate real, personal, and mixed;
And at her death, $100 to be paid to my daughter Nancy Jane, intermarried with Frank Blair;
A like sum of $100 to my granddaughter Nancy Bell Love;
A small parcel of coal land adjoining lands of C. and C.D. Bursey and others containing 6 acres more or less be given to my son John W. Johnston's wife Mary E. to have during the time she remains my son John W's widow;
To my son John's children by his present wife the farm upon which I now reside of 120 acres adjoining land of Robert Cauffield, Dixon Snodgrass and John Bishop and others;
My executor shall sell the same to my best advantage either by public or private sale; the proceeds to benefit my five following named children: Charles M. Johnston, Mary intermarried with Jos. H. Love, Harriet intermarried with B.V. Miller, Elizabeth Ellen intermarried with Harry W. Miller and Emma B. intermarried with V.W. Smith;
To C.M. Johnston 600 dollars for which I hold a receipt dated Aug. 15, 1876;
To Mary Love $218.60 for which I hold her receipt dated Feb. 13, 1877;
To Emma B. $700 for which I hold her husband's judgment note dated Sept. 17, 1892;
To Emma and V.W. Smith $515 judgment note with sundry payments dated May ** 1891;
To Harriet $200 for which I have her husband's judgment note dated Sept. 5, 1890;
To Elizabeth E. $2075 for which I hold their joint notes Sept. A.D. 1890;
The above mentioned advancements to be deducted from the above mentioned shares of the above mentioned children;
I appoint my sons Charles M. Johnston and John W. Johnston executors;
