After suffering for over three years, Dr. Phoebe Low died at her home on Buckley St., Liberty, last Monday, Aug. 21st., aged 73 years.
Dr. Low was born at Bridgeville, June 2, 1838, and was the daughter of Elias Champlin and Jane Hilliker. She moved to Liberty in 1857 and began the practice of her profession. About 4 years ago she suffered a stroke of apoplexy, and has been nearly helpless since. She was a graduate of the Philadelphia Eclectic Medical College.
The funeral was held at her home on Buckley St., on Aug. 23rd, at 2 p.m., Rev. John Tredinnick, of the M.E. Church officiating. Interment in Liberty Cemetery.
