A heart attack proved fatal to Frank Meech, well known Orton Township resident while he was in Sebeka Saturday morning. He had not been feeling well of late and was brought to town early Saturday morning to consult a physician and had been in town but a short time when death came as he was sitting in Doty's Eat Shop.

Frank Meech was born at Logan Kansas on March 27, 1882 and was 54 years, 8 months and 8 days of age at the time of his passing. Deceased came to Wadena County from Riceville, Iowa on December 22, 1908 and made Orton Township his home since that time, He was married to Grace Wintermute on August 18, 1909 and is survived by his beloved wife and ten children namely; Mrs. Leo Nielsen (Vera) of Beach N. Dak., Wendell, Mrs. Geo. E. Eierman (Crystal), Cloy, Mrs. Roy Charmley (Vedna) of Staples, Minn., Joy, Clinton, Vernon, Harold, and Ivan. Deceased was a devoted husband and father, a good citizen and a kindly neighbor. He was generous to a fault and was ever ready to help a neighbor or friend.

Funeral services were held at the Nimrod Community Hall Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Harold Root conducting the services which were largely attended by sorrowing friends and neighbors. Burial was made in the Wadena cemetery.
