Louvenia "Lou" Rench, age 90, entered into rest on January 8, 2011, in Manteca, California. She had been a resident of Manteca for over 18 years.
She was born on July 3, 1920, in Clarence, MO. She was married to Marshall E. Rench who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rench is survived by her children, David Rench and wife, Trisha, of Capitola, CA, James Rench of Poway, CA, and Marsha Silva and husband, Ed, of Manteca, CA. She was blessed by five grandchildren, Lori Higby and husband, Guy, Julie Rench, Erinn Rench, Jeremiah Silva and wife, Lindafaye, and Brett Silva.
Mrss. Rench was best known as Lou. She worked in retail for 30 years at various department stores including Macys in Palo Alto, CA. She was a member of the Central Valley Baptist Church of Manteca where she was known and loved as "Grandma Rench". Grandma Rench celebrated her 90th birthday with her church family where they planted a tree just for her on the church grounds; which she was extremely proud of. She volunteered for many years at the Manteca Senior Center. She enjoyed quilting and crossword puzzles. She loved bonding with her grandchildren playing board games and spending special quality time with each and every one of them. She had a talent for baking goodies; as she was especially known for her carrot cake. Mrs. Rench was a people person, she had a gift for listening as she cherished her friendships full heartily. She will be remembered as a grateful woman who appreciated God's blessing with a humble heart. She will be missed.
P. L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is handling arrangements for Mrs. Rench. A service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Central Valley Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest at Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence, MO. Local arrangements are pending at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Clarence.
