SOLDIERS RITES TO BE CONDUCTED FRIDAY

RONCEVERTE, July 21 - The final rites for Private First Class Cecil J. Baker will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. C. C. Lambert. Pfc. Baker died in a hospital in England on Dec. 9, 1944, from wounds he received while serving with the 60th Infantry Division in Germany. The American Legion Post No. 26 will conduct the military rites and burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery at Ronceverte. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Baker, of Ronceverte and three brothers, Ashby, James, and Robert, all at home. (Beckley Post-Herald, Beckley, WV, Thursday, July 22, 1948, p. 12, Col. 7-8)
