Mrs. A. Woody
Mrs. Betty Jane Woody, 88, of 665 Alameda Ave., Sheffield Lake, died in St. Joseph Hospital Saturday night after an illness of seven weeks.
Mrs. Woody moved to Sheffield Lake from Cleveland 28 years ago. She had been employed as a laboratory technician for the Standard Drug Co., Cleveland, at one time. She was a member of the Sheffield Lake United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Marion E., Lorain; two daughters, Mrs. Lola Mahoney, Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Sadie Coder, Sheffield Lake; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Carter, Memphis.
Her husband, Andrew, died in 1937.
Friends will be received in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, Lorain, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be there tomorrow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David F. Sandberg officiating. Burial will be in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
