Mrs. Lillie Mays, 82, Heidelberg, Ky., died Tuesday at 2:15 a.m. in the Center Haven Nursing Home where she had been four days.

She was born near Heidelberg, Ky. Nov. 2, 1888, a daughter of John C. and Perdilla Lynch Farmer. Mrs. Mays was a member of the Christian Church in Lee County, Ky. She was devoted to her family.

She leaves six sons, Larkin Mays, Wilgus Mays, Robert Whitley Mays, all of Kentucky, Clayton Mays and Gilmer Mays, both of Hamilton, and John C. Mays, Middletown; three daughters, Mrs. Andy (Ada) Price, and Mrs. Alford (Audrey) Deacon, both of Kentucky, and Mrs. Barbara Gullett, Hamilton; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitley Mays in 1963 and two sons, Arthur and Clinton Mays.

Funeral services will be Thursday in the Newnam Funeral Home, Beattyville, Ky. Burial will be in Stone Coal Cemetery, Beattyville. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening. Local arrangements were by the Campbell Funeral Home, 640 High Street.
