Hettie O'Brien Rites Observed
Funeral services for Hettie May O'Brien were held Saturday afternoon at the Holt Chapel by the Rev. Ralph Werner of Columbia Falls.
During the service Phillip Buck sang two selected hymns accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Buck. Friends acting as pallbearers were Albert Dyer, Roy Dye, Ernest Fagerland, Roy Cooper, Lester Sutherland and Sam Parker.
Internment was made at the Lone Pine Cemetery under the direction of the Waggener and Campbell Funeral Home.
Hettie May Fox-O'Brien was born Nov. 3, 1902, at Bigfork to Loren B. and Lottie S. Fox. She grew up on the farm north of Bigfork and with the exception of two years in Washington, had lived there all her life.
She was married in 1933 to Homer O'Brien. She died at the farm home north of Bigfork Dec. 22, 1952, at the age of 50 years.
Mrs. O'Brien is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Phiyllis Heuscher of Babb, Mont., and Shirley O'Brien at home, five sisters Dora B. Huston, Rachel E. Caverly and Lula Kitzmiller, all of Bigfork; Alice D. Guinard of Belknap, Mont.; and Mary Stubert of Galata, Mont.; five brothers, Alfred L. Fox, Leslie E. Fox, Frank M. Fox and Arthur L. Fox, all of Bigfork and Robert A. Fox of Swan River.
