BUTLER - George Edward Towson, 66, of Route 2 died Monday in a Columbus hospital. Born in Dodge County, he lived in Taylor County for the past 40 years, was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Taylor County and was a World War II Air Force veteran. Survivors: wife, Frances W. Towson of Butler; children Ronald E. Towson of Butler, Edward Towson of Albany, Mitzi Thornhill of Kill Devil Hills, N. C. and Cindy Godbee of Montgomery, Ala.; sister Grace Poucher of Summerfield, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday in Union United Methodist Church, Taylor County. Burial: the church cemetery. The Revs. Clyde Lancaster and James R. Hall will officiate. Godard Funeral Home in Reynold has charge of arrangements.
