FREDERICK CLUSKEY IS BURIED SATURDAY IN SHELBY COUNTY
Aged Missouri Man Died at Home of Daughter in Palmyra Last Week.
Shelbina. Mo., Aug. 5.—Frederick Cluskey, who died at the home of his daughter. Mrs. C. W. Mcintosh, in Palmyra, Mo., July 31, was brought to Shelbina and funeral services were held at the cemetery Saturday afternoon by the Rev. M. F. Crowe, pastor of the Methodist church of Palmya, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Taylor, pastor of Shelbina Methodist church.
Mr. Cluskey was born in New York City, March, 1840, and was eighty-four years old.
He enlisted in the 115th Regiment, company F., Ohio volunteers and enrolled Aug. 11, 1622, serving the remainder of the Civil war and was discharged at Murphysboro, Tenn., June 22, 1865.
He was married to Miss Regina Dehe in 1865, she dying March 25, 1921, at age of 76. There were born to them six children: John of Lakenan. Mo., Ed of Rock Island, Ill., Frank and William of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Emma Schlinger, of Stoutsville, and Mrs. Essie Mcintosh, of Palmyra. Mo., eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr Cluskey spent many years in the clay pottery manufacturing business. His plant is about a half-mile south of Lakenan. He was a member of the Lakenan Methodist church many years.
