Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2008 at a 2:30 p.m. word service in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Anna C. Guidry, age 56, the former Mrs. Anna Louise Credeur, who passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 2:35 p.m. at Alton Ochsner Medical Hospital in New Orleans.
The Deacon Gary Gaudin, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Anna was a native of Carencro and a resident of St. Martinville for the past nine years. She was the owner and operator of A & R Trucking in St. Martinville for twenty eight years. Mrs. Anna was a very caring, loving, and generous person who was dedicated to her family and career. She was loved by her husband, children, grandchildren and will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband of twenty eight years, Reggie Guidry of St. Martinville; three sons, Jerry Credeur of New Iberia, Regdrick Guidry and his companion, Tammy Simon of Scott, and Brian Guidry and his wife, Marlene of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Brenda Darby and her husband, Allen Jr. of New Iberia, and Phoebe Lyles and her husband, Kenny of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Marie Hosier and her husband, Rob of Morgan City, Sandra Darby and her husband, Clarence of New Iberia, Ruby Darby and her husband, A.J. of New Iberia, and Rita Credeur of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Elaine Guidry, Kollin Guidry, Allison Darby, Jordon Guidry, Shadrach Guidry, and Kaine Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Credeur of Carencro and her mother, the former Hazel Forestier of Cankton.
The family would like to give a special thanks to two special caregivers, her cousins Louis and Melissa Jackson, the staff at Ochsner's Hospital and Shila and Robert Guidry.
