Memorial services DEC 6 William H. "Bill" Barr of Eugene, who died NOV 29 of complications from diabetes. He was 74. Barr was born FEB 1, 1929, in Emporia, KS, to John and Lucy Gambril Barr. He married Barbara Van Loh at Camp Cooke Army Base in CA. on DEC 29, 1950. He lived in Kansas until 1945, when he moved to Vallejo, CA. He moved to Goshen in 1946 and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1947. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1950 until 1952. He worked at Nichols Gas Station until 1956. He then worked as a millwright and foreman at Lane Plywood for 40 years. Barr enjoyed his family, gardening, camping, fishing and elk hunting. He also enjoyed building things for his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Sue Holmes of Longview, Wash., Debbie Hall of Redmond, and Vicki Black of Cottage Grove; a son, Steve of Springfield; nine grandchildren; and six great-grand- children. The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. at Andreason's Springfield Cremation Center, 3305 Main Street. Burial of ashes will take place at Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem at a later date.
