Mrs. Maude Gordon Clark of West Point, native of Chickasaw county, died at 5 pm, Thursday, Dec. 9, at Ivy Memorial Hospital, West Point. She was 84.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 11 at 2 pm, from the Houston Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Hathorn, pastor of the Houston First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in the Prospect Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Arnold Simpson, Bobby Pearson, Jimmy Dale Whitt, Tom Pate, William Smith, John Brand, and T J Nabors.
Mrs. Clark a member of the Prospect Church, was born Oct. 18, 1892, the daughter of J Q Gordon and Martha Hudson Gordon.
The widow of the late Samuel Clark, she is survived by a son, Samuel Clark of West Point; two sisters, Mrs. Rowena Swain and Miss Alice Belle Gordon, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Five grandchildren also survive.
