Monetta Helen Boyd, daughter of the late Thomas Hill and Virgie Griffin Hill, was born Nov. 16, 1918, and departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at the age of 93 years, 1 month and 5 days. She was of Greenway, Ark., and formerly of Kennett.
Survivors include two sons, Jerald Boyd, of Greenway and James A. Stacey, of Clark, Mo.; one daughter, Demetra Morton, of Paragould, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Joe W. Boyd and Keith Stacy; three daughters, Ramona Dortch, Jerre Nell Grogan and Janice Millikin; four brothers, Marian Hill, Arthur Hill, Max Hill and Tommy Hill and two sisters, Shirley Kirkindal and Margaret Jackie Green.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., today, Friday, Dec. 23, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Mark Luther officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Bill Grogan, Darren Grogan, Jason Grogan, Eric Storey, Chad Storey and Kevin Millikin.
Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Stacey, Phillip Stacey and Wayne Boyd.
