Thelma "Jewell" Alfrey, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 24, 2011. She was born on April 4, 1941 in Burkesville, KY to Willie and Annie (Willis) Huddleston.
Jewell was a loving "grandma" to many.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Husband, Jeff) Gregory; son, Danny Huddleston; grandchildren, Michelle (Husband, TJ) Birdwell, Andrew Huddleston, and Amanda Huddletson; great granddaughter, Haley Birdwell; step grandchildren, Amanda, Jeremy, and Aaryn Gregory; sisters, Bonnie Huddleston, Judie Garner, and Sally Cropper, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert R. Alfrey; daughter, Carolyn Estes; four sisters; and three brothers.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 until 2:30 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis.
Services will be held at 2:30 pm also at the funeral home.
Jewell will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
