William Earl Christy was born on the 11th of November 1931 in Glendale California. He was the second child of William Earle Christy and Viola Smith. His parents left the "e" off Earle because they didn't want him to be a Junior. His nickname was Chris. Later in life he chose to use Jr. William joined the Army the 8th of Sept. 1949 and served during the Korean War as a crane operator. He was discharged the 11th of Oct. 1952 with the rank of corporal. He married Sharon Lynne Bushman on the 4th of Sept 1954 in Burbank California. They had 5 children, Wendy Kay, David Earle, Cheryl Ann, Janet Lynn, and Diana Lee making their home in Glendale. His occupation was a machinist. William and Sharon divorced on the 7th of October 1969. William worked for a civilian company during the Vietnam War repairing helicopters in Vietnam. William married Dien Thi Truong on the 30th of April 1973 in Las Vegas Nevada. They had one child, William Earl Christy III born on the 3rd of July 1974. They divorced 13 Aug 1979. William Earl suffered from Multiple Sclerosis and passed away on the 10th of April 1982 in Glendale California at the age of 51. He is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale California.
