WILLIM B. McGINNIS
William B. McGinnis, one of the oldest citizens of Vernon County, died at his home on West Cherry Street, Monday morning of Bright's disease, aged about 45 years. His funeral was held from the family residence at 4 o'clock Tuesday evening, Rev. J. M. Boone, of Centenary Methodist Church, officiating. The remains were laid to rest at Deepwood Cemetery with Masonic and A.O.U.W. ceremonies. Deceased leaves a wife and five children to mourn the loss of a devoted husband and a kind and indulgent father.

(NOTE - Bright's disease - a historical classification of kidney diseases that would be described in modern medicine as acute or chronic nephritis. The symptoms are usually severe including back pain.)
