Mabel Delahaut, 102, longtime resident of Allouez, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011. She was born in De Pere on March 17, 1909, daughter of the late John and Christina Larsen. She spent her formative years in De Pere, and then moved to Allouez when she became governess for the children of Dr. Robert Cowles, Sr.

On February 4, 1931, Mabel married Ambrose Delahaut. They were founding members of Resurrection Catholic Church, Allouez. He passed away November 5, 1981.

Mabel is survived by a son, Robert (Lois) Delahaut; a daughter, Joann (Edwin) Kwitek; a brother, John (Maisie) Larsen; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose; a son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Doris Delahaut; two brothers, two sisters; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Family and friends may call at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at the church on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
