Annie Freitag was born in Philiadelphia. Her family either moved to Egg Harbor, New Jersey, after her birth or Annie was 'born' over the river in Philidelphia yet the family resided in New Jersey.
As a young woman, in the early 1880's, Annie Freitag boarded in Philidelphia and worked as a segar maker, as did two of her brothers over the next few decades.
Annie married Leopold Weintz, whose family lived in Camden, NJ but had emigrated from Birmingham, England when he was a child.
Annie and Leopold had one child: George William Weintz who moved to Brooklyn in the first few years of the century, married and remained there for his life.
Annie died of a small-pox related illness at age 37. She was survived by her husband, who died in 1912. Her son, George was 17 when his mother died.
