Alcie M. Winders, age 85, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was a longtime, faithful member of Maryville First Baptist Church for over 60 years. She loved to work in the church nursery. She always joked that she changed the diapers of half the people in Blount County. She was an avid Maryville High School and Lady Vols Fan.
Preceded in death by parents, John J. and Vera Collier; brothers, Michael A. Collier, Harold W. Collier.
Survived by husband of 65 years, Joseph W. Winders, Sr.; daughter, Lynne M. Winders, Knoxville; special "adopted" daughter, Linda Klein, Knoxville; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet C. and Doyle M. Daugherty, Maryville, Toni and Terry L. Burns, Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph W., Jr. and Debby T. Winders, Maryville; grandsons, Logan E. Winders, Joseph Zane Winders, John L. Burns, James T. Burns.
