Mrs. Mary Digman, wife of John Digman, of 2235 Schroder street, died at her home at 12:05 p.m. Saturday.
Her body is at the Strueber funeral home, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the funeral home to St. Mary's church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
Mrs. Digman was born Jan. 21, 1881 in Grant county, Wis., a daughter of the late Anton and Margaret Welter, Grant county pioneers. On June 15, 1909 she was married to John Digman at St. Mary's church in Dubuque. She had lived in the city for the past 39 years. She was a member of St. Mary's church, and belonged to its Rosary society, Third Order of St. Francis and the Sacred Heart league (propagation of the faith.)
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Melvin A. and Ralph J., of Dubuque; three daughters, Mrs. George (Adeline) Haberkorn, Mrs. Marion (Leona) Mayne and Mrs. Roy (Mildred Schlickman, all of Dubuque; nine grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Val Roth, of East Dubuque, Mrs. Theodore Wansdorff, of Dubuque, and Mrs. August Digman, of East Dubuque. She was preceded by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
