Elsie Abt Ensslin
Elsie Abt Ensslin, 104, of Venice, FL., formerly of Stanford, died Saturday, July 8 in Venice, FL.
A native of Ottenheim, she was born April 6, 1902 to the late August Abt and Louisa Fabry Abt. She was a homemaker, member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, founding member of the Ottenheim Homemakers Club, and a correspondent for the Interior Journal writing the Ottenhein news for over 20 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Eileen Bluhm and Lorraine Rist both of Venice, FL., and Charlene Barrett of Auburn, WA.; two sons, Laurence (Mary) Ensslin and Charles (Karen) Ensslin; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford and Saturday beginning at 10 until time of service at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15 at 11 a.m. at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. Sylvester Catholic Church Cemetery.
