Sonny Allen Ricks
1973 ~ 2011

Officer Sonny Ricks passed away December 16, 2011. He was born, the sixth of eight children, on January 27, 1973, in Ogden, Utah, to George Ronald & Ingrid Anna Burkhardt Ricks.
Sonny received his Bachelors and Masters of Science in Criminal Justice from Weber State University.
He proudly served over 15 years in the Salt Lake City Police Department.
He is survived by his mother and seven brothers and sisters Marianne, Roney, Ingrid, Nancy, Randy, Angela and Scotty.
He was preceded in death by his father and beloved wife Amy Hocking.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2011 @ Valley View Stake Center, 2245 East 3900 South, SLC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service. Online condolences may be left at www.wasatchlawn.com
