Eve Yadro O'Brien, 92, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003.
Mass of Christian Burial: Noon Monday, St. Andrews Catholic Church. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Vigil: 4 p.m. Sunday in The Drawing Room of Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be given to Guardianship Services, 601 West Magnolia, Fort Worth, Texas 76104; or Vitas Hospice, 2501 Parkview Dr., Fort Worth, Texas 76102.
Eve Yadro O'Brien was born May 18, 1911, in Illinois to Antonio and Pauline Yadro. When Eve and her husband, Bob, were relocated to Fort Worth in 1953, they became founding members of St. Andrews Catholic Church where they were very active in parish and school activities. Her children want her remembered best as a great seamstress and cook, but mostly that she was their "very good mommy" and devoted to their dad. In her later years she was committed to her neighborhood community as block captain in South Hills.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Bernard O'Brien.
Survivors: Son, John Anthony O'Brien; daughter, Paula O'Brien Fultz and her husband, George; sister, Amelia Chomiak of Chicago, Ill.; brother, Paul Yadro of West Frankfurt, Ill.
