Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Riemann Funeral Home chapel, 25th Avenue in Gulfport.
GULFPORT -- William E. (Buzz) Innes died Tuesday, February 17, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mr. Innes was a native of Brookings, South Dakota, and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1946.
He attended the University of South Dakota and graduated from Florida Southern University. He was a veteran of World War II and served overseas as a Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Corps of Engineers. After the war he was employed in the Occupational Therapy Department of the Gulfport V.A. Hospital for a few years. From there, he went to Keesler Air Base and became an Instructor of Electronics until his retirement.
He was a former member of the Masonic Order and for years attended Trinity Church in Pass Christian, where he served on the Vestry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Molly Innes; a sister, Eileen Koupal; and a brother, Clayton Innes.
Survivors include a son, Robert H. Innes and a granddaughter, Brittany Innes, both of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Evelyn Leach of Denver, Colo., and a nephew, Tommy Leach of Harrisonburg, VA.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue in Gulfport, where friends may call one hour prior to service.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
