In the 1900 U.S. Census, widow Mary Osborne, 39, born June, 1860, in Maine, parents born Maine, was living in Calais, Maine,with daughter Ramona, 5, born Jan. 1895 in New Mexico, father born Canada, mother born Maine. Mary had borne one live child, and that baby was still living. They lived next to Mary's widowed mother Mary Kelly.

Letters received from Mrs. OSBURN, Santa Fe, New Mexico would seem to indicate the immediate cause of the Doctor's death was heart failure and not tuberculosis as first stated. (St. Croix Courier, May 30, 1895)

The remains of the late Dr. Walter H. OSBURN arrived at St. Andrews, Tuesday last week by express from Santa Fe, Mexico and taken to All Saints Church where they reposed for a short time. The were afterwards carried for interment to the Rural Cemetery, the sad duties of pall bearers being performed by M.N. COCKBURN, G.H. LAMB, Walter M. MAGEE, B.E. ARMSTRONG and John MALONEY. Dr. Osburn was the eldest s/o Henry OSBURN, now residing in England, and whose name was familiar as the manager of the N.B. Railway for many years.(St. Croix Courier, May 16, 1895)

The ceremony was quietly performed at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Boston on 2nd Feb. and after a short bridal trip the happy couple arrived at their home in St. Andrews.
