Anne Carolyn Clark Halcomb passed away July 29th, 2013 due to complications of Parkinson's disease. She was preceded in death by her husband Anderson (Andy) Halcomb and her brother Robert F. Clark. Anne was born on September 21, 1930 to Beulah Anne Wilson Clark and Foster Anderson Clark in Richmond, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in architectural engineering, the only female in her class. She met Andy while attending the university; they fell in love and were married on June 7, 1952. They moved to the Clinton area in 1955; they were married 58 years until Andy's death in August of 2010.

Anne & Andy loved to travel, to garden, entertain friends and family and make crafts. Anne was very active in the community, serving at various times on the committees of Christian Women's Club, Timely Topics, the Garden Club, the Wednesday Club and B&PW. She was a faithful member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton for many years. Anne worked as an architect at Copper & Perry Architects in Knoxville most of her career and retired from the architectural department of TVA. Anne was a consummate hostess, a faithful friend and a wonderful mother-in-law. She was tireless and efficient as well as artistic and creative. She bore her illness with patience, always gracious, kind and loving.

She is survived by her sons and their wives: Mark and Jane Halcomb, Allen and Mabel Halcomb, Wayne and Joan Halcomb and their children Andrew (Emily) Halcomb and Foster Halcomb, Katelyn (Aaron) Comer and Olivia Halcomb, and Jeremiah Honeycutt, and by great- grandchildren Addalyn and Dean Comer and Winter Honeycutt. Anne is also survived by sister-in-law Ellen Clark and by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the kind staff at Golden Living Windwood. A receiving of friends will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home on Saturday, August 3rd with a service at 2:00. A graveside service will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell, Tennessee. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
