JUDITH M. CAMPBELL, 67

Herman native Judith M. Campbell, 67, of Tecumseh, died Nov. 19, 2003, at the Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh. Memorial services were Nov. 22 at the Wherry Brothers Mortuary, with inurnment at the Tecumseh Cemetery.

Judith Mae Campbell was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Herman to Marcus and Marjorie (Godsey) Kroger. She graduated from Herman High School in 1953, and attended Immanuel Nursing School in Omaha where she received her registered nursing degree.

On Aug. 30, 1958, she married James Campbell of Tecumseh in Lenox, Iowa. After the marriage, the family moved to Boulder, Colo., where they lived for several years before moving back to Tecumseh. Mrs. Campbell's husband ran the family gas business and she was the company's bookkeeper. In addition, she also worked as a registered nurse at several long-term care facilities and hospitals for 44 years.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of Eastern Star in Tecumseh and Daughters of the Nile (Shrine) in Lincoln.

She is survived by her son, Jon Gary, and special friend, Becky Surber; daughter, Jill Lynne and fiancé, Ron Hinkle of Tecumseh; brother and sister-in-law, David and Eileen Kroger of Wahoo; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; and a son, Jeffrey David.
