FLOYDADA - Lloyd Edgar Allen, 87, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Lubbock.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Sizemore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.
Mr. Allen was born in Moran. He attended schools in Petersburg and Ralls. He moved to the Sandhill community of Floyd County in 1944 and to Floydada from the Starkey community in 1952. He was a retired farmer and had worked in television sales and service. He was a former member of the National Guard. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 712.
He married Joy Beatrice Grigsby in 1932 at Plainview. [1933 per marker]
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lloyd Edgar Allen of Perryton; four daughters, Marion Frances Allen Lipps and Joy Naomi Allen Johnson, both of Farmington, N.M., and Patricia Ann Allen Battey and Debra Kay Allen Graham, both of Floydada; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
