Gertrude R. Holz (nee Brickmann), 89, of North Ridgeville, died Friday at Center Ridge Nursing Home in North Ridgeville after a long illness.
Born in Cleveland, she moved from Parma to North Ridgeville in 1991. She had been a resident of Parma most of her life.
She was a member of St. Charles Church in Parma.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, bowling and playing cards.
Survivors include daughters Delores A. "Dee" Frederick of North Ridgeville and Doris A. Hlafka of Brook Park; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a sister, Jeannette Herman of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl G., in 1984; great grandson Adam Frederick; her parents, Emma (nee Wagner) and John Brickmann; and sisters Marcella Morrill and Josephine Krauth.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
The Rev. Thomas J. Paik, associate pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville, will officiate.
Burial will be in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
