Mary Von Cason, age 83, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Shady Acres Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Cason was born on November 26, 1926, in Douglas, GA to the late Joe Everett and Cynthia Zanders Rowland.
Survivors include: her son, Joseph Cason, of Douglas, GA.; two daughters, Pam Lott (Dominick Digiacomo), of Douglas, GA. and Elaine (Edward) Penn, of Douglas, GA.; two step-daughters, Jarrell (Dick) Mayer, of San Dimas, CA and Jeanette Ocapek, of Escandido, CA.; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, seventeen step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A great lifetime friend Juanita Pitts.
She was preceded in death by three brothers Gordon Rowland, Bill Rowland, and JE Rowland, and two sisters Vercie Adams and Stella Rowland.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Wes Brown and Rev. Allen Peacock officiating. Interment followed at Meeks Cemetery.
