JOHN DUNBAR IS CALLED TO BEYOND THURS. NOVEMBER 5
John Dunbar, age 65, passed away Friday morning at 2:30 A.M. at his home. He had been in failing health for a number of years and for four weeks preceding his death was in a very critical condition.
John Dunbar was born on a farm three and one-half miles north of Brighton and had lived there all his life until he moved here to Brighton in 1915.
Surviving are his wife Harriet Taylor to whom he was married 42 years ago, Nov. 23: three sons, Floyd, Louis and Charlie Dunbar all of the Brighton Community; one daughter Mrs. Dora Copper of Fairfield; twelve children; three brothers, Lute Dunbar of Brighton, Oliver Dunbar of Wellston, and Charles Dunbar of Minneapolis; and one sister Mrs. Jane Bowers of Darlington, Indiana, who had been with her brother for two weeks, until Wednesday Nov. 4th at which time she was called home because of her daughters illness.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the home. Rev. Pike of Mt Pleasant officiated. Burial was in the Sandy Hook Cemetery.
