A B Hawkins was the first husband of Pernetta C. Hutcheson. This couple had a daughter, Sarah and a son Benjamin F. Hawkins. Neither of the children can be traced beyond the 1870 census. Though it is believed that Sarah married an Unknown Tracy and had a son, James B. Tracy and a daughter, Elizabeth "Nettie" Tracy who married William Franklin Smith. Sarah may have married a Cantrell and had a son, Edward Porter Cantrell. Nothing can be found at all for Benjamin F. Hawkins.
The James Tracy, Elizabeth Tracy and Edward P. Cantrell are all listed in the household of Elizabeth Hutcheson Pugh as boarders going to school for the 1880 census. I feel strongly they are definitely related to Elizabeth as all of the other people in the household can be traced as relatives of hers. These three children would be related as belonging as grandchildren of Elizabeth's sister Pernetta Hutcheson Hawkins Herron. Elizabeth Pugh must have been a teacher or living near the school as different of her family members were living with her and attending school.
Nothing has been proven as to the parents of Archibald B. Hawkins though there are several other Hawkins families in the area. He did purchase land so his death date is establioshed relative to that land record date and then his widow is found living with her father for the subsequent census date.
