Mrs. Fannie May Usry Watson, wife of Alva D. Watson Sr., of Louisville, Ga., entered into rest Thursday afternoon, March 12, 1936, at Dublin, Georgia as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday at Salem Methodist Church, Thomson, Georgia with the Rev. Plaxco and Rev. McKibben, of Louisville officiating, assisted by the pastor of Salem Methodist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be T.B. Kelley, Dr. J.R. Lewis, N.J. Smith, J.C. Ramsey, Roy Willie, R.L. Farmer, Whit Harvly, J.B. Polhill Jr., M.G. Brantley, all of Louisville, Milton Brown, of Thomson, and S.W. Overstreet and John Futral, both of Wadley. Mrs. Watson, a native of Thomson, Georgia, was a prominently connected in McDuffie County and since moving to Louisville had become one of the outstanding women of Jefferson County. Survivors include five sons, Alva D. Watson Jr., superintendent of the Stellaville School, Holden Watson, student at South Georgia Teachers College at Statesboro, Cody Watson, a student at Erskine College, and James and Thomas E. Watson, Louisville; two daughters, Miss Virginia Watson, a teacher at Danville, Ga., and Miss Katherine Watson, Louisville; mother, Mrs. C.N. Usry, Thomson; four brothers, Watson, Jim and Marion Usry, all of McDuffie County and Will Usry, Augusta, and two sisters, Mrs. John Storey, McDuffie County, and Mrs. Brannan, St. Louis, Mo. Stone Funeral Home.
