|Birth: ||Oct. 28, 1798|
We are not certain if Phoebe is buried in Bates County or in Johnson County, Missouri. Probate papers were filed in Johnson Co. so our best guess is that she is in Bluff Springs with the rest of her family. Very few of the pre-1860 gravestones are still up or readable in Bluff Springs.
Phoebe was the daughter of Benjamin Longacre, the first Longacre to enter into Missouri ,and Ruth Longacre,
Ben & Ruth moved to Bluff Springs from Tennesse, north of present day Kingsville, after 1830.
From one of the books written by J. Merritt Graves, Ph.D.
"William Cluck b. 1790, probably in Virginia, one census record reports Germany, m. Phebe Longacre 29 November, 1817 in Roane County, TN. Phebe b. ca. 1796, d. ca May 1855.Johnson County, MO. He bought 100 acres on Fall Creek from Thomas Burke on 26 December, 1831, in Wilson County, TN. He died 1835 and his estate was inventoried 24 November 1835 by Alexander Simmons in Wilson County, TN. Later the Taply Edwards family bought the land from the heirs and Phebe Cluck moved to Missouri prior to 1850."
