Francis Virginia Beard Abbott, 93, of Bearden, died Monday August 4, 2003. Mrs. Abbott was born in Smead, Arkansas (Ouachita County) on April 30, 1910 to the late John Samuel Beard, and Nancy Leeth Beard. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
She is survived by a son, Bob Abbott of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Charlotte Quarles of Bearden, Cherry Nell Weatherly of Bearden; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Floyd Abbott; and a son, John "Dub" Abbott.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Joe Dickey officiating.
