The son of John and Martha (Putnam) Endicott. He was christened at the South Church in Danvers on November 1, 1767. John lived in Danvers. Most of his life was spent in the East India trade. He represented the town of Danvers in the lesgislature several times. He was married twice first to Mary Putnam and then to Fidelia Kettelle nee: Bridges. He died at the age of 69 and laid to rest in family burying grounds in Danvers.
