William H. Kolb, 72, of Minoa, passed away Friday at his home. He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years and he retired from Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital as a security Supervisor. "Bill" enjoyed his model train collection, and would often run them for his grandchildren, Alyssa and Shane. He was a life member of the NRA and belonged to the Simon Parise VFW Post 9596. He was predeceased by his loving wife, June (Diriwachter); brothers, Thomas and Charles; and his sister, Linda (Kolb) Galgan. Surviving are his sons, John R. of Kirkville and William D. of Poland; his sister, Mary Alice (Kolb) Van Vlack of Auburn; and his brother, Robert of Kirkville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16 at 10 a.m. at the Delaney-Greabell-Adydan Funeral Home. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 241 Kinne St., East Syracuse. Burial with military honors will be in Collamer Cemetery.
