FARRIS MASSENGILL of Memphis, TN, died December 9, 2011. Service at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 15, at Family Funeral Care. Burial will follow in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, at Family Funeral Care. Mr. Massengill was in the automobile business for 35 years, a member of Berclair Church of Christ, and an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Eloise Massengill; one son, Michael Farris Massengill and his wife, Linda Kay S. Massengill; one granddaughter, Lauren M. Massengill; one grandson, M. Brett Massengill; one sister, Rachel Louise Massengill English and husband, John Earl English, of Boise, ID; and many, many relatives, loved ones, and dear friends. Mr. Massengill was preceded in death by his father, John Burl Massengill, mother, Belia Musette Clayton Massengill, and sister, Francis Demova Massengill Baucom.
