PIONEER GOES TO HER REWARD - At her home on Milwaukee street in this city at twelve o'clock noon on Monday, Aug. 6th occurred the death of Mrs. Mary Jung one of the very oldest pioneers of Ozaukee county. Mrs. Jung attained an age of 82 years and with very little exception her entire life was spent in this county. The funeral will take place tomorrow, Friday. Services will be held at the St. Mary's church in this city and interment will be made in the old cemetery. Rev. Holfeitz will conduct the last sad rites.
Mrs. Jung whose maiden name was Mary Thill was born in Weiler in Tour, Luxemburg and came to this country with her parents when 3 weeks old. The family settled at Holy Cross where she spent her childhood and where sixty-three years ago she was married to Mr. Jung. About fifty years ago the family moved to this city and she had been a resident here ever since. Several years ago the venerable couple had the pleasure of celebrating their diamond wedding.
Mr. Jung died something over a year ago. Mrs Jung is survived by one son Nic Jung of Milwaukee. She also leaves a number of grand children and great grand children. (9 Aug 1928)
