Mary Ann Maés, age 81 went to be with the Lord on Saturday June 29, 2002 after a long illness.
Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of New Mexico born at Manzano, NM.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Epifanio Maés, her father and mother, Tomás and Mercedes Lucero, her brothers, Abel Lucero and Amado Lucero.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Gloria García and her husband, Richard, four beautiful grandchildren, Andrea García, Sara Martínez, Candice García and Christy García, three great-grandchildren, Estrella, James and Mercedes, sisters, Virginia Romero and her husband, Margarito, Felia Perea and husband, Nick and Connie Nuñez, Isabel Torres and her husband, Orlando, sister, in-law, Jessie Lucero and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Mary Ann was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2002 with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 also at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Zotter Officiant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Al Romero, Lawrence Nuñez, Michael Perea, Daniel Lucero, Johnny Torres and Charles Ward. Honorary Pallbearers are James Martínez, Ricardo Lucero Jr. and Tony Martínez.
