Death: Dec. 11, 1909

Famous chemist, inventing processes for extracting nickel and ammonia. He founded the company of Brunner, Mond which eventually became the international giant, Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI). His son Alfred continued as a director of his father's companies but was more interested in politics, becoming a member of Lloyd George's cabinet.
