Kirsti was the daughter of Tollef Halversen Stokke and Ingri Halvorsdatter Rudland.
Kirsti and her husband Bjorn Knutsen Rye (Ben Benson) immigrated from Norway in 1870 and settled in Clifton Township, Grant
County, Wisconsin.
After Kirsti's death in 1878 her husband married Kari Gulbrandsatter Andersen 30 June 1880 in Castle Rock, Grant County, Wisconsin.
Ben and Kirsti Benson had 5 sons and one daughter.
