Death of Miss Clara Aufrecht Brings Sorrow To The Community
The death of Miss Clara Aufrecht was a complete surprise to the entire community, many of whom did not even know of her illness, and those that did were not aware that it was so serious.
Clara Bertha Aufrecht, daughter of Mr. Gottlob Afrecht [sic], was born April 9, 1895 ay Holyoke, Colorado and passed to her heavenly reward October 21, 1927 at the age of thirty-two years, six months and twelve days. She moved with her parents from Colorado to the state of Washington in 1902, coming to Loup City in 1919, and has since that time lived in this community. With her cheerful and contented disposition she helped to make the home since the death of her mother nineteen years ago. She became a Christian in early youth and since her connection with the Methodist church she has been one of its faithful members and we shall miss her presence and influence very much in out church circles. "Her sun has gone down while it is yet day." But Clara has only slipped away from our earthly sight to dwell in that bright realm where sickness never comes and pain and suffering cannot enter. ... (additional praise)
She leaves to mourn her death her father, one brother Albert, two sisters, Tillie and Helen. Many relatives and a host of friends.
