Johnnie Kenneth McCarter of Vonore, passed away 11:20 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, at Sweetwater Hospital. He was born June 17, 1920 in the Sugarlands area of the Great Smoky Mountains.He was 85.
Preceded in death by: wife, Lima Britton McCarter.
Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law-Mary Wanda and Rufus J. Bivens and Etta Lee and Alden Bivens, all of Benton;
Son and daughter-in-law-James L. and Linda McCarter of Vonore;
Grandchildren-Mitchell, Randall, Jeff and James Bivens, Cheryl Rider, Donna Sudderth, Kevin, Karen, Denise, Keith and A.J. McCarter;
Eleven great-grandchildren;
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Friday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Rev. Robbie Speights and Randall Bivens officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m., Saturday, in Sunset Cemetery
