Armstrong College Speakers Named Berkely, California; April 12, 1938. Miss Marjorie Olsen, of 1211 Sunnyhills Road, Oakland, and Frank Prouty, of 2455 Ashby Avenue, Berkeley, will be commencement speakers at graduation exercises to be held at Armstrong College Friday evening. Miss Olsen, who will receive a diploma of graduation from the private secretarial department of the school, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry M. Olsen. She formerly attended the University of California, and will base her speech on the subject of women in business. Prouty. son of Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Prouty, will receive a degree of B. With Dr. Ralph Marshal Davis officiating at 8 o'clock this evening at the home of the bride on Sunnyhills Road, Miss Marjorie Olsen will be married to Staff Sgt. Wallace Higginbotham, who returned home a fortnight ago after three years duty in the South Seas. Miss Olsen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Olsen, and is a graduate of Oakland High School. She attended the University of California for two years. Since leaving college, she has been a secretary at the Fourth Air Force. Lieut. Perry Olsen, brother of the bride, is in the Army Air Forces, stationed at Hobbs, N. M. Sergeant Higginbotham is a son of Mrs. Ora Higginbotham of 5681 Ocean View Drive. He is a brother of Mrs. J. F. Ryan Jr., of Oakland. Mrs. Donald F. Graham, sister of the bride, will be matron of honor; her daughters Marilyn and Gloria, flower girls. Mr. Robert Higginbotham will be best man." In the foothills are Staff Sergeant Wallace Higginbotham who claimed as his bride earlier in the month Miss Marjorie Olsen at a candlelight ceremony conducted in the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Perry M. Olsen of Sunnyhills Road. In a setting of white gladioli, the couple took their places at one end of the living room. The bride wore a bouffant model of white mousseline de soie with lace inserts, inserts, trimming the full skirt and lone sleeves finishing the bodice which 'was made with a sweetheart neckline. Bouvardia and orchids in the bridal bouquet completed the ensemble. Mrs. Donald F. Graham who attended her sister as matron of honor was dressed in a delphinium blue silk jersey and carried colonial bouquet of pink and blue flowers. Gloria and Marilyn Graham, nieces of the bride, served as ribbon bearers, forming an aisle for the bridal party. Their gowns were pale pink taffeta and made floor length. Each attendant carried miniature Colonial bouquets. The bridegroom returned to Oakland, after three years of heavy combat duty in the South Pacific He has been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters. Sergeant Higginbotham is a son of Mrs. Ora Higginbotham of Ocean View Drive, and is a graduate of the Oakland Technical High School. His brother, Robert Higginbotham of Oakland, was best man. The bride was graduated from Oakland High School, studied at the University of California for two years and was later graduated from Armstrong College. At the time of her marriage, she held a secretarial position with the Fourth Air Force. Her brother, Lieutenant Perry A.
