Shadrach Stringer. He was the son of Thomas Stringer & Harriet Mary Fuller-Stringer. He enlisted on 19 Aug 1862 as a Sgt w/Co.'H' Indiana 68th Infantry Regiment & was promoted to 2nd LT on 1 Jun 1865 before mustering out on 20 Jun 1865 in Nashville, TN according to US Civil War Soldier Records & Profiles. The 1870 US Census for Sheridan, Linn County, KS shows that Shadrach was a Farmer and lived next to his father, Thomas & 2nd wife, Letha Ann and their family. The 1875 Kansas State Collection Records for Potosi, Kansas show Shadrach Stringer, age 46 as a Farmer. Living with him is his brother Eli Stringer and Eli's family.
