Karamjeet Singh Judge
Birth: May 25, 1923
Death: Mar. 18, 1945

World War II Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, 15th Punjab Regiment. On March 18, 1945, Lieutenant Judge‘s platoon was ordered to capture a cotton mill at Meiktila, Burma. Dominated by many Japanese positions, he eliminated ten enemy bunkers and asked his backup tank commander to cease fire while he went in to mop up. While securing the remaining enemy, he was mortally wounded and died leading his men. For extreme gallantry, he was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross Medal. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
